wwe

WWE is ushered into a new era with a lot of fresh faces making their main roster debut after the WWE Draft 2024 that culminated last week on RAW. Many WWE superstars have been diligently working hard to make a name for themselves and clinching a World Championship is the epitome of the career of any pro wrestler.

Furthermore, there are an ample number of WWE superstars who have been making headlines over the past few weeks and have been jockeying for positions to get a chance to fight for a World Title. Moreover, many of those names with their conduct and career so far are looking to become World Champions in this year.

So, let us take a look at those 5 superstars who can potentially become WWE World Champions in 2024:

1. Jey Uso can finally win the World Title

Jey Uso is one of the most popular WWE superstars of the modern era. If there’s one superstar who has benefitted most from The Bloodline saga other than Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, it has to be the leader of “YEET” movement who has worked so hard to get himself over with fans with his undeniable charisma and spectacular in-ring acumen.

Jey Uso recently challenged Damian Priest for his WWE World Championship at WWE Backlash France, however, he was unsuccessful in his attempt to win his first World Title courtesy of interference from Judgment Day members, JD McDonaugh and Finn Balor. So, it is just a matter of time before Jey Uso captures a World Title for the first time in his career.

2. The Storm will indeed arrive in the main event

Jade Cargill is one of the biggest signings WWE has clinched in these last few months and it is very clear that the company envisions huge opportunities for The Storm of WWE. Moreover, Jade has already started to dominate the WWE Women’s division as evidenced by her first few matches.

Cargill debuted in the Women’s Royal Rumble match and eliminated big names like Becky Lynch and Nia Jax and then went on to make a dominant debut at WrestleMania where she got the victory for her team. Furthermore, Jade Cargill has already tasted gold within months of her debut, winning the WWE Women’s Tag Titles at WWE Backlash France, and is a major possibility to win the WWE Women’s Championship b the end of this year.

3. The Ring General ascends to main event status

Gunther has established himself as one of the most dominant superstars to ever step inside a WWE squared circle with his historic run as the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion proving the claim. The combination of his lethal in-ring acumen and dominating presence has always proven fatal for all his opponents to step in the ring with him.

The Leader of The Imperium has already qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing King of the Ring tournament, which will culminate at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia, by defeating one of his biggest nemesis, Sheamus. Therefore, it is just a matter of some opportunities that Gunther will win his first World Title anytime now and it very well could be in 2024.

4. CM Punk is destined to win the World Title

CM Punk shocked the entire world with his unexpected return to WWE after almost a decade on November 25th, 2023 at the WWE Premium Live Event, Survivor Series. The Best in the World left everyone buzzing about his return and it opened the doors for plenty of opportunities and matches that lie in front of him in his latest WWE tenure.

Following his grand comeback, The Best in the World made his intentions clear to main-event WrestleMania and once again win the WWE World Title. CM Punk very well might have achieved those accolades already if it wasn’t for the unfortunate triceps injury that he suffered in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. The stars are aligned for a potential World Title run for Punk once he returns from his injury and it can happen during the fall of this year itself upon his return.

5. WWE Women’s Title might enjoy some Tiffy Time

One of the biggest breakout stars to come out of NXT this year has to be Tiffany Stratton. The Buff Barbie has Megastar written all over her personality and within just two years of her official debut, Tiffany has already held the NXT Women’s Championship and got promoted to the main roster.

Moreover, Stratton debuted in the Women’s Royal Rumble match and since then has been drafted to WWE SmackDown in the WWE Draft 2024. Startton’s stocks rose to the pinnacle when she battled The Man, Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Championship and ever since then she has not looked back. The fans love themselves some Tiffy Time as evidenced by the huge reactions that she is getting at every big Premium Live Event, and now winning the World Title in 2024 looks is a big possibility written in her destiny.
