5 Things That We Can See At The Upcoming WWE Draft For Sure
The WWE Draft 2023 would see superstars assigned to one particular brand and become exclusive to performing for either RAW or SmackDown. However, looking at the current scenario of the global juggernaut, here are 5 scenarios that are looking to happen for sure at the two-night WWE Draft.
5 The Judgment Day’s Next Destination
The ruthless and tormenting faction, known as ‘The Judgment Day’ has been laying a path of dominance since the better part of last year. The trio of Dominik Mysterio, Damien Priest, and Rhea Ripley, led by Finn Balor have been absolutely remarkable since coming together as a cohesive unit.
However, Ripley currently holds the SmackDown Women’s title at the moment that she won a few weeks back at WrestleMania 39 dethroning Charlotte Flair. Moreover, the WWE management has been very high on the stable, which could mean that the entire Judgment Day could be drafted to SmackDown.
4 NXT-Call Up In The WWE Draft 2023
The last time WWE Draft took place in 2016, a handful of top WWE NXT prospects made their way to the main roster to further their respective careers as top-caliber stars. The list included the likes of Finn Balor, Alexa Bliss, and Carmella, all of who went on to become top fixtures for both RAW and SmackDown.
With the return of the event that would reportedly shake the foundation of WWE to its absolute core, this edition of the Draft could possibly see NXT superstars being called up to the main roster. Moreover, it has been reported that Cora Jade and Bron Breakker have been heavily considered for a shift to either RAW or SmackDown.
3 WWE Tag Team Titles Split Up
The first night of the WWE Draft 2023 would see current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens battle The Usos in a WrestleMania main event rematch. With the onset of the Draft, a last-minute change could see Sami and KO defend only one of their titles and potentially lose to the members of The Bloodline.
This would lead to the tag titles being split and assigned to one particular brand, leading to both RAW and SmackDown having their own WWE tag team champions.
2 The New World Heavyweight Championship On The Red Brand
Triple H changed the game forever just 5 days before the WWE Draft with the introduction of the new World Heavyweight Championship as a massive opportunity for many top prospects. Moreover, The Game also announced that this championship would be the top prize of one particular brand, much like Roman Reigns’ title being the flagbearer of the brand he is drafted to.
With WWE viewing SmackDown as their “A show” for a long time with Reigns as the face of the blue brand, the new World championship could find its new home on the USA network as the richest prize on Monday Night RAW.
1 Roman Reigns-The First Pick Of The WWE Draft 2023
Roman Reigns has been on the top of the mountain in WWE for well over three years now. The Tribal Chief has beaten some of the greatest WWE superstars of all time en route to becoming the longest-reigning World champion of the modern era.
With the Undisputed WWE Universal champion approaching his 1000-day mark as the dominant title holder, it surely makes him the first choice for both USA Network and Fox to pick him as the #1 Draft pick of their brands.
