Liv Morgan has punched her ticket straight to the top of the food chain in the WWE Women’s Division after beating Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s World Championship in controversial fashion. Morgan has been on a roll since returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event in January after facing a dark time in her life and is pulling all the stops on her way to complete the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour.
Moreover, Liv Morgan has made a name for herself in WWE at the expense of some of the greatest female superstars of all ages. So let us look at 3 of those legendary names whom Morgan has defeated to acquire some of her biggest accomplishments in her career:
1. Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan had some serious history together which recently culminated at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event when Liv Morgan finally got the upper hand and defeated Becky Lynch for the first time in her career to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.
Morgan and Lynch previously had faced each other a couple of times for the RAW Women’s Championship in 2022 when Becky always had the current Women’s World Champion’s number. This time around though Morgan turned the table and put away The Man for the first time in her career. Beating Becky Lynch who is perhaps the greatest female wrestlers of all time is a testament to the fact that the company believes in the performer to carry the business forward.
2. Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey was one of the biggest signings that WWE has ever made for their Women’s division. Moreover, pinning Ronda Rousey was always thought to be an unbelievable task for any woman in the company but Morgan has done that job thrice in her career, making her the only woman to pin Ronda more than once.
Liv Morgan’s first-ever championship victory came at the expense of The Baddest Woman on the Planet when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in 2022. Exactly a year after on the same PLE in 2023, The Mircale Kid of the WWE again pinned Ronda Rousey to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and solidified herself as the only woman to take down The Baddest Woman on the Planet on three different occasions.
3. Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus is regarded as the greatest Women’s Champion of all time in WWE History. Most of the women on the current roster look up to Stratus as their role model and the inspiration for their careers in the WWE respectively. Liv Morgan comes under the long list of women who have been inspired by Trish Stratus and also had the honor of pinning the former seven-time champion to win one of the most prestigious accolades in her WWE career.
On an edition of Monday Night RAW, Trish Stratus teamed up with Becky Lynch to defend their tag team titles against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. After a hard-fought battle, Liv Morgan won the match for her team after a roll-up victory against Trish Stratus and won the Women’s Tag Team Titles for the first time in her WWE career and joined the likes of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair as the only women of the new era to pin the Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
