After delivering one of the most successful WWE Premium Live Events in the history of the company, WWE Backlash France, the global juggernaut is all set to deliver their second Premium Live Event of the month in WWE King and Queen of the Ring in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May, 25th, 2024.

Furthermore, the company is set to crown its new King and Queen of the Ring respectively as the finals of both of the tournaments are set to take place at the event itself. Additionally, the show will be headlined by the blockbuster encounter between the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, and WWE United States Champion, Logan Paul. The match is currently slated to be for Rhodes’ title, however, there has been much speculation that the bout would be changed into a Title vs. Title encounter between the two superstars as the weeks progress.

Let us take a look at three reasons for the headling match between The Prodigal Son and The Maverick should be a Title vs. Title match:

1. No more Part-Time Champions

Logan Paul is an internet sensation who brought millions of eyeballs to the WWE. The Maverick made his debut at WrestleMania 38 with WWE fans and critics eyeing the in-ring prowess internet sensation would bring to the table and since then, he has delivered memorable performances against top opponents like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

With that being said, Logan Paul exceeded all expectations and delivered classics upon classics and also won the WWE United States Championship at WWE Crown Jewel 2023. But ever since then, The Maverick has been a part-time champion affecting the majority of the roster on Friday Night Smackdown, depriving them of opportunities. With a new era prevalent with all full-time champions, the time has perhaps dawned that the title goes into the hands of someone who could defend the championship on regular basis to restore its prestige and Cody Rhodes can very well be the man for the job.

2. Cody Rhodes becomes a Grand Slam Champion

Cody Rhodes has etched his name in the history books after ending one of the most historic title reigns in the history of WWE when he pinned Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship in front of a sold-out Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at WrestleMania 40.

Now, Cody Rhodes has another chance to add one more prestigious accolade to his illustrious resume by possibly winning the WWE United States Championship from Logan Paul and becoming the latest addition to the list of WWE Grand Slam Champions.

3. Elevating Cody Rhodes’ star power to much greater heights as a double champion

Cody Rhodes has already ascended to the top of the food chain in WWE when he won in the main event of WrestleMania 40, fulfilling his lifelong dream of holding a WWE Championship, which his dad never held, and “Finished his Story” that turned out to be one of the highest garnering narratives in the history of WWE.

The American Nightmare’s stocks could skyrocket to a whole different level if he can dethrone Logan Paul with his WWE United States Championship on the line and become a double champion in WWE. With that achievement, Rhodes would become the second person to hold both the WWE Championship and United States Championship simultaneously after Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, who claimed the same feat in 2015 by defeating the GOAT, John Cena to win the United States Title.
