WWE Royal Rumble 2025 will be the first stop on the road to WrestleMania 41. The event is set to take place at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis on February 1st. This will be the first time the Royal Rumble will not take place in its yearly January slot and could be one of the most exciting editions in the history of the event.
As WWE began the year with Monday Night RAW’s highly anticipated debut on streaming giant Netflix, it saw the return of one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time, The Rock. He opened the show in his electrifying style and kicked off the WWE Netflix era in grand fashion, with WWE Royal Rumble 2025 being the company’s first Premium Live Event of the year.
Can The Rock of the Men’s WWE Royal Rumble 2025 match?
The Rock has set the tone for the WWE Netflix era with his resurgence on RAW on Netflix. The Final Boss followed it up with another subsequent appearance on the next night. He made his first-ever appearance for WWE NXT at their special event, New Year’s Evil 2025, which was a blockbuster show in its own right.
The Final Boss was also seen onscreen with his daughter and WWE NXT General Manager Ava for the first time at the event. Following that, The Rock came out to the ring to address the NXT audience in attendance. During his promo, The Rock hinted at another great ride for the fans after being a massive part of the road to WrestleMania last year.

With The Rock planting the seeds for being a huge part of WWE TV once again, his first plan could be a huge shocker for the fans. Using his influence as a member of the TKO Board, WWE’s parent company, The Rock could enter himself in the Men’s Rumble match as a surprise entrant at the very last minute at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event.
Moreover, this could also become game-changing as The Rock could use his TKO Board member power to become the 31st entrant in the Royal Rumble after all 30 men have entered the bout. This would become the first time an additional entrant had been added to a traditional 30-person over-the-top-rope battle royal.
With The Rock kicking off a new era in WWE on RAW on Netflix’s debut show, his role could be much greater than last year, and as he promised, it could be another spectacular ride that he takes the fans on with unexpected twists and turns.
