WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is on the horizon for the landscape of the global juggernaut. This will be the first WWE Premium Live Event of the year, emanating from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis on February 2nd.
The excitement for the event was hyped further with the announcement of John Cena declaring himself for the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 match on RAW on Netflix’s debut show. On the January 10 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman revealed that his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, will also enter the Men’s Rumble match to reclaim the Undisputed WWE title again.
Can Roman Reigns win the Men’s Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event?
Roman Reigns is coming off a huge win at the start of 2025. He battled his arch-rival, Solo Sikoa, in a Tribal Combat for the right to become ‘The One and Only Tribal Chief.’ Reigns and Sikoa delivered one of the most spectacular bouts in RAW history, with the match ending in Reigns’ victory and him being presented with the sacred Ula-Fala by his legendary cousin, The Rock.
With Reigns reclaiming the Ula-Fala, Paul Heyman made it clear that the next thing on his mind was regaining the Undisputed WWE Championship that he lost to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania XL. His plan to claim the top prize will see him compete in the Men’s Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event. This will be the first time since 2020 that Roman Reigns will compete in the traditional 30-Men over-the-top-rope-melee for the opportunity to main-event WrestleMania 41 for the World Championship.

Despite being a former Rumble winner in 2015 and one of the biggest WWE superstars of all time, Roman Reigns’ chances to win the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 match look slim. The Tribal Chief has not competed in a Rumble match in the last five years, missing out on a lot of match experience. Moreover, the fans are heavily rooting for another big name to win the match.
According to reports, officials and fans heavily favour John Cena to win the 2025 Rumble Royal match. This comes after another report states that Cena is rumoured to challenge Cody Rhodes instead of Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
With the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event coming up, it remains to be seen if Reigns will actually be able to win the Rumble match and go to WrestleMania to challenge for the World Championship to reclaim his position as the top star of WWE.
