wwe netflix surprises

The professional wrestling landscape is set to be altered with the dawn of the WWE Netflix era. The important landmark will be celebrated with Monday Night RAW officially moving to Netflix. For the same, a huge debut show has been planned for January 6, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Since the announcement, there has been constant buzz surrounding the remarkable plans WWE has made for RAW’s debut on Netflix. Moreover, multiple reports have hinted that it is set to become one of the most historic WWE shows of all time. Here are the five possible surprises for the start of the WWE Netflix era with its debut show of Monday Night RAW in January 2025:

5. Huge opportunity for NXT Callups in the WWE Netflix era

It has been seen for years that WWE NXT superstars get called up to the main roster at important shows to make a big first impression. As seen in the current landscape of the Black and Grey brand, there is an abundance of highly talented in-ring competitors who are ready to be a part of the big leagues.

The names include Roxanne Perez, Trick Williams, Ethan Page, Meta Four and others who could be called up to the main roster. Their highly anticipated debut could happen at RAW’s debut on Netflix, courtesy of the upcoming Transfer Window, which will shake the landscape from now on in the WWE Netflix era.

4. Shocking title change

WWE might have planned a huge shock that the fans might not be expecting for the debut episode of WWE RAW Netflix. This could come as a title change in a highly exhilarating match and putting an end to a remarkable reign of one of the top WWE champions.

As far as who could possibly lose their title, one of the choices could be Liv Morgan. Morgan’s match with her heated rival, Rhea Ripley, was teased at the end of her match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Mami could finally win back the WWE Women’s World title from Morgan on RAW’s debut on Netflix and put a shocking end to Liv Morgan’s spectacular run as a champion for almost half a year at the start of the WWE Netflix period.

3. MITB cash-in

Ever since Tiffany Stratton won the Money in the Bank contract last summer, she has been binding her time for the perfect opportunity to cash it successfully to become champion. While she has teased it on multiple occasions, Tiffany has yet to pull the trigger. However, there have been evident tensions between herself and her ally, current WWE Women’s Champion, Nia Jax.

Following months of being berated by Nia, Tiffany Stratton could choose the dawn of the WWE Netflix era as her time to cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Moreover, her target could be Nia Jax herself, which could see her cashing in her contract successfully and defeating Jax to win her first title on the main roster.

2 The return of The Queen

The WWE Universe has eagerly been awaiting the return of one of the biggest WWE superstars of the modern era, Charlotte Flair. The Queen has been out of action since last December after suffering a knee injury on SmackDown wrestling Asuka. Since then, Flair has been working her way back up in rehabilitation and pursuing outside projects while keeping her in-ring return as the prime focus.

Charlotte Flair is a huge star in her own right, and reports suggest that her return could come anytime now. The re-emergence of The Queen could come at WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix to begin the next chapter of her illustrious career.

1. The Final Boss re-emerges

The Rock shocked the WWE Universe by making an unannounced appearance at the end of the WWE Bad Blood Premium Live Event. This was his first appearance since the RAW after WrestleMania 40, where he had a tense confrontation with Cody Rhodes before taking a hiatus.

Furthermore, there have been numerous reports that The Rock is expected to appear on RAW’s debut episode on Netflix. This could see The Final Boss come back and target either Cody Rhodes, resuming their rivalry from last year or go after his cousin, Roman Reigns, as part of the OG vs New Bloodline saga.
