The WWE Netflix era is set to begin with a highly spectacular debut show on January 6th at the Intruit Dome in Los Angeles. To build hype for the show, WWE has made the first match official, pitting Solo Sikoa against Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match.
For months, the former Bloodline members have been feuding with each other. Solo Sikoa took over the reins of the Bloodline following Reigns’ loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. He came back at SummerSlam and since then has been on a quest to reclaim his moniker as the Tribal Chief and the sacred Ula-Fala. With the match set for the start of the WWE Netflix regime, fans have been wondering who will walk out as the winner of the Tribal Combat.
Will Solo Sikoa be able to defeat Roman Reigns at the start of the WWE Netflix Era?
For months, Solo Sikoa and his new Bloodline have laid a path of havoc and carnage in WWE. Moreover, they have also been feuding with Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline ever since they reunited to take down Solo and his army of wolves, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu. This led to two high-profile tag team matches between both sides at WWE Crown Jewel & Survivor Series, with both Bloodlines scoring a victory each. Now, the Tribal Combat will decide the ultimate winner of the Bloodline Civil War.
Roman Reigns is credited as one of the biggest WWE superstars of the modern era. On the other hand, 2024 has been the first year that WWE Universe has seen Solo Sikoa’s run as a top singles star who led his Bloodline for months. Moreover, Solo garnered huge attention when he pinned Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel in their tag team match to win the bout for his team.
With Solo Sikoa having one of the best runs of his career so far and possibly poised to become one of the next top star of WWE, he could be booked to defeat his iconic cousin which would be one of the biggest wins of his career. This would be another one of Sikoa’s big win after he defeated John Cena last year at WWE Crown Jewel in dominant fashion.
With the highly anticipated Tribal Combat match set between the new Tribal Chief and The OTC, we will have to wait and see if this could be the start of Solo Sikoa’s monster push or the rise of Roman Reigns once again at the top of the food chain.
