The entire wrestling community was shocked when Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the WWE, leaving their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on Vince McMahon’s table in May 2022 just before an episode of Monday Night RAW.
Since then, a lot has changed in the WWE and the professional wrestling industry. Vince McMahon retired from the WWE, and Naomi went to TNA to prove her worth as a performer and made her stupendous return in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match, and Sasha Banks adapted a new ring name, Mercedes Mone, and signed with WWE’s rival promotion, AEW. The question looming over our head, will Sasha Banks return to the WWE at WrestleMania 41?
Will Mercedes Mone return to the WWE at WrestleMania 41?
Sasha Banks who is now known as Mercedes Mone is one of the biggest influences in the WWE Women’s Evolution. The former Boss, who now goes by the nickname of CEO, cemented herself as one of the greatest to ever do it and has left an irreplaceable mark in the history of the professional wrestling.
Mercedes Mone cannot be erased from WWE history. The former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion has been involved in so many first and historic moments that she has made a megastar out of herself with her will and hard work.
Mercedes along with Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Charlotte Flair are regarded as the most influential women who brought the change in the booking of the Women’s division in the WWE. Therefore, a star of this caliber returning at WWE’s biggest show of the year is bound to create a lot of noise. Moreover, she herself has admitted that a return to WWE is imminent.
As of now, Mercedes Mone made her AEW debut a few months ago and is the TBS Champion. Mercedes is slated to defend her title against Britt Baker at AEW: All In in one of the biggest matches on the card. Mercedes’s return at WrestleMania 41 seems unlikely since she just signed with AEW, and seems satisfied with her place in the company, however, there’s one quote that is famous in the wrestling business, i.e. Never Say Never.
