WWE teased a showdown between these two dominant athletes at the WWE Royal Rumble 2023, and there were plans for their clash at WrestleMania 40 this year. One of the biggest dream matches that fans have been patiently waiting for ever since Gunther joined the WWE, is against The Tribal Chief himself, Roman Reigns. The battle of two behemoths will tear the house down without any doubt and will further cement Gunther as a megastar, much on the level of Roman Reigns himself.
4. The Celtic Warrior finally beats The Ring General
Sheamus has to be Gunther’s wrestling soulmate on the WWE main roster. Anytime the duo have stepped foot inside a ring together, they have created magic. Sheamus has been putting banger after banger after banger and deserves a big match at The Show of Shows, and Gunther will be the perfect opponent for The Celtic Warrior.
Gunther and Sheamus have proven time and time again that they can deliver big time in the ring if given the chance to face each other in any capacity. Sheamus has been wrestling the best he has in his career now but has never beaten Gunther. A match for the World title at WrestleMania 41 with Sheamus coming on top would be a great moment for the Celtic Warrior at Showcase of the Immortals.
