Moreover, during the weeks of buildup to the WWE Survivor Series, Priest seemingly had the edge over The Ring General, who had been rattled since his big loss to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.

The jam-packed action kicked off in the Roger Arena in Vancouver, Canada, between Gunther and Damian Priest. Moreover, Gunther had his right-hand man, Ludwig Kaiser, by his side for the match. However, the Archer of Infamy was laser-focused on regaining the World Heavyweight Championship, bringing the fight to Gunther.
Both men used every move in their artillery to take each other in the high-stakes match that had the fans glued to their seats at WWE Survivor Series. Whether it was hard-hitting powerbomb, submission holds, or spectacular in-ring moves, Priest and Gunther left everything inside the squared circle at WWE Survivor Series 2024. Moreover, Priest even fought through an injured arm despite Gunther attempting to attack repeatedly on it.
However, as the match approached its end, Finn Balor came out of nowhere and launched a Coupe De Grace on Priest, who was lying on the floor outside the ring. But Gunther took out Balor as well and used his interference to his advantage to tap out Priest inside the ring and retain his World Heavyweight Championship.
