The American Nightmare essentially sits on the mountaintop of the wrestling industry now, holding the most prestigious title in all of the wrestling business. However, one of the big reasons for Cody Rhodes’ raging success is listening to experienced WWE personnel and recently unveiled one of those private talks that helped him in his journey to stardom.
Cody Rhodes shared a career advice moment with Stephanie McMahon
The popular MMA host and podcaster, Ariel Helwani interviewed the new Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on his podcast, ‘The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani’. During the interview, Cody revealed one of the key conversations that he had with former WWE Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon which became a huge motivating factor.
Rhodes stated that he sought the Billion Dollar Princess’ advice regarding doing an interview last year. Stephanie McMahon responded by telling Cody that he would need to pour all the emotions that he had, as it related to the main event of WrestleMania, The Grandest Stage of them All that got stuck with him.
“I think uh Stephanie McMahon hit me with this line last year and I I’ve never forgot it I was asking her about things to say in my interview or she she had mentioned my interview and we were talking about it and I remember her just saying use everything use everything you have you know uh cuz that’s what it takes in terms of a WrestleMania Main Event every bit of your like when you talked to me last year and I was completely a zombie like that’s cuz I was pouring my guts out which includes uh the pain of the loss of dusty but then also his his story this is a 100% a real thing.”
Cody Rhodes retained the advice from Stephanie McMahon in his head, which further played a significant role in becoming a huge attraction for WWE today. The Prodigal Son won the Undisputed WWE title to become the face of the global juggernaut which resulted in Rhodes becoming one of the most popular babyface and sensational WWE superstars of the modern era.
