Cody Rhodes brought a revolution in the wrestling industry when he joined hands with Tony Khan to create a wrestling promotion that could challenge the global juggernaut WWE, All Elite Wrestling, also known as AEW, to the fans.
The American Nightmare left WWE when he was unsatisfied with his position and booking in WWE in 201. Upon leaving the global juggernaut, Rhodes carved out a main event career worldwide, picking up championships in New Japan and Ring of Honor before founding AEW. Rhodes left AEW in 2022, but plenty of dream matches remain for him there. Recently, Rhodes revealed the inside details about booking the original ‘All-In’ show.
What did Cody Rhodes reveal about the original ‘All-In’ show?
The current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, was a special guest on ‘The Pivot Podcast‘ where Rhodes talked about booking the original ‘All-In’ show. The American Nightmare revealed that he tried to book the show as if how Dusty Rhodes could have booked it. Rhodes said it was the first time he got an opportunity to be him.
“When the opportunity came and the opportunity started a little bit before aw with the original Allin show because the all-in show we booked it we were helping uh fund a portion of it we were really genuinely going all in in the sense that we will direct this the creative on this show we will direct it so that was my first real opportunity to be him okay you know and and and I was I probably a poor impersonation you know.”
Cody Rhodes made huge strides upon successfully booking a very successful ‘All-In’ event while working with AEW. Since then, The Prodigal Son has become one of the biggest stars in the history of wrestling, The American Nightmare is expected to put his title on the line against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam 2024.
