WWE is gearing up to host one of their biggest shows of the year, the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event which is set to emanate from Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio on 3rd August 2024. The upcoming event has already been loaded with big main event caliber matches and is set to be headlined by a match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa.
The Biggest Party of the Summer, WWE SummerSlam 2024 is also the home to some of the biggest returns that WWE Universe has witnessed in the last few years, most notably Becky Lynch’s return after her pregnancy in 2021, and Brock Lesanr’s return at the same event too.
Let us take a look at a few superstars who might make a return to the WWE SummerSlam 2024:
1. Return of the Goddess
WWE is no stranger to pulling off huge surprises at their major Premium Live Events and WWE Universe can expect such major surprises to be at WWE SummerSlam as well. For months, rumors have been circulating among the fans and media that the former five-time WWE Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is all set to make her return to the company.
Bliss has been seen posting training videos on her Instagram stories for her in-ring return, creating excitement among the WWE Universe. There are rumors that we might see Alexa Bliss aligning herself with Uncle Howdy due to her past association with him. The return of the Goddess needs a big platform, and WWE SummerSlam 2024 is big enough of an event for such a major return.
2. The Queen returns to claim her throne
The element of surprise makes WWE Premium Live Events so exciting and WWE fans might be surprised by one such huge return at the Biggest Party of the Summer. The Queen of the WWE has not been seen on WWE Television Programming since injuring her knee in November 2023 in a match against Asuka on an edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
Charlotte Flair was expected to stay out of action for well over 9-10 months after having a successful surgery back in January 2024. However, The Queen has been seen posting videos of workouts on her social media and WWE Univer might expect them to be graced by the return of Charlotte Flair at the Biggest Party of the Summer, WWE SummerSlam 2024.
3. The Tribal Chief makes his grand return at WWE SummerSlam 2024
The tides changed forever in the WWE when the referee slapped the mat for the third time while Cody Rhodes was pinning The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, ending his four-year-long title run in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 40, and we have not seen Roman Reigns since then.
WWE SummerSlam 2024 will be headlined by a match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa when The American Nightmare puts his title on the line against Solo. In Roamn Reigns’ absence, Solo Sikoa has been trying to assert his dominance in The Bloodline and trying to become the new Tribal Chief. WWE SummerSlam 2024 could see Roman Reigns returning to confront Solo Sikoa, beginning a new chapter in his career at such a huge event.
