WWE RAW on Netflix debut show saw the years of animosity and hatred between longtime rivals CM Punk and Seth Rollins finally come head-to-head. The two marquee WWE superstars engaged in a dream showdown that the fans had been waiting for years. In the end, it was The Best in the World who outlasted Rollins and emerged as the victor on one of the biggest WWE shows in history.
Since weeks after the WWE Survivor Series, CM Punk and Seth Rollins had been engaged in brawls and heated exchanges. This led to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce making the match official for RAW on Netflix debut show. Even before the final show before their match, Rollins and Punk had no love lost for each other and attempted to destroy each other on the mic.
Punk vs Rollins dream showdown stole the show on WWE RAW on Netflix debut show
The dream match was ready to take over WWE RAW on Netflix debut show at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles as both CM Punk and Seth Rollins entered the ring. Both men locked horns and went up against each other with their hard-hitting moves to gain the upper hand in the match.
In the early beginnings itself, Punk and Rollins took the fight outside the ring. They fought all across ringside with heavy blows and moves and took the action back into the ring. The moment they were inside the squared circle, CM Punk and Seth Rollins began to cause immense physical pain to each other. At one point in the bout, Rollins even executed Punk’s own finisher, the GTS on him, sending him outside the ring. Retaliating back, Punk delivered Rollins’ finisher, The Stomp, on the Visionary.
Moreover, as the fans had expected, the match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins was nothing less than a blockbuster match. The fans in attendance were totally captivated by their performances and were on the edge of their seats every time a pinfall was counted, with the WWE Universe erupting in a ‘This is Awesome’ chant.
As the match came down to its final moments, Rollins and Punk again hit their signatures on each other. Rollins took more damage to his knee with a Pedigree first on the table and then in the ring to Punk, who would still kick out at two. Both men would again deliver back-and-forth moves, but in the end, CM Punk delivered two GTS on Rollins and pinned him to pick up the win in the main event of WWE RAW on Netflix.
