Born in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, on October 23, 1996, Lyra Valkyria was obsessed with wrestling from a very young age. Her real name is Aoife Cusack, and she made her in-ring debut before her nineteenth birthday.
Relationship Status
Speaking of her romantic life, a few months ago, Lyra Valkyria announced her engagement to her long-time sweetheart, LJ Cleary. They are expected to get married soon.
Professional Wrestling Career
After honing her craft at Fight Factory Pro Wrestling, Valkyria made her wrestling debut in 2015, wrestling under the ring name ‘Valkyrie Cain’. She would continue wrestling on the independent circuit for a few years, making her name in countries like Ireland, England, and Germany before finally being approached by WWE in 2020.
Lyra Valkyria would make her WWE debut at NXT UK brand under the ring name ‘Aoife Valkyrie’. Lyra quickly became a regular on the NXT UK brand, feuding with the likes of Jinny and Isla Dawn, and rose to prominence with a career-defining showdown against the formidable Meiko Satamura.

However, it was not until The Man came around in NXT to battle Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Title that Valkyria started to gain more prominence on the roster due to her talent and links with Becky Lynch.
Lyra Valkyria earned a title match against Becky Lynch and defeated her to become the NXT Women’s Champion, which further put Valkyria on the map. Valkyria made her main roster debut in WWE Draft 2024 on Monday Night RAW and right now has been laser-focused on becoming the first-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
