Cody Rhodes is the rightful example of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He went from being a mid-card talent to being the poster boy of WWE. His journey to the top came to fruition at WrestleMania 40 when he dethroned Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE title and managed to “Finish The Story.”
However, now that Cody Rhodes has finally accomplished his dreams of further cementing himself as the greatest of all time, Rhodes can win more championship gold to secure his place among the all-time greats in WWE. Let us take a look at three of those WWE titles that Cody Rhodes can win moving forward:
1. Grand Slam Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes has carved out a remarkable WWE career. He is a three-time WrestleMania main eventer, two-time Royal Rumble winner, and most importantly, Cody Rhodes ended Roman Reigns’ historic run as Undisputed WWE Champion, which lasted for over four years.
However, Cody Rhodes has yet to achieve one accomplishment, which has been stopping him from becoming a Grand Slam Champion in the WWE, i.e., the WWE United States Championship. While he defeated the current champion, Logan Paul, at WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE, it could see him do it again, but this time with the star-spangled prize on the line.
2. The Legacy champions
Cody Rhodes is having the run of a lifetime in the WWE. The Undisputed WWE Champion fulfilled his destiny and ‘Finish the Story’ when he pinned Roman Reigns in the middle of the ring to take the title away from him in the main event of WrestleMania 40 to the chorus of cheers from the WWE Universe.
However since WrestleMania 40, The Bloodline has been creating havoc on Friday Night SmackDown, and Randy Orton and Kevin Owens have stepped up to take down the ferocious stable. Cody Rhodes joined Orton and Owens to take on the Bloodline. Moreover, The Viper and The American Nightmare have a history together since the duo teamed up in the early days of Rhodes’ career. So, a WWE Tag Team Title run with Orton could be on the table for The Prodigal Son this year.
3. The workhorse title for the fighting champion
Cody Rhodes has successfully defeated AJ Styles and United States Champion Logan Paul to retain his prestigious Championship. However, it might not be the only time Rhodes will claim gold this year in his WWE career.
Cody Rhodes has won the WWE Intercontinental Championship several times in his first run with the WWE. However, Rhodes didn’t get an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Champion yet in his second run in the WWE career. Looking at the prestige of the Intercontinental Championship, it would be an excellent addition to The Prodigal Son’s accolades in his career.
