WWE’s Apex Predator got drafted to WWE SmackDown as part of WWE Draft 2024 and has been seen taking down the new Bloodlinme along with Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes. But as next year’s WrestleMania announced to take place in Las Vegas, an interesting topic surrounds Orton’s potential opponent at The Grandest Stage of them All.

The person who is heavily expected to be John Cena’s opponent at The Showcase of Immortals next year is The Viper, Randy Orton. The Apex Predator is the betting odds favorite to face the 16-time WWE World Champion in the final WrestleMania match of his career.
Randy Orton and John Cena are among the most decorated rivalries of the last two decades. The two have battled each other numerous times, putting on instant classics. Behind the curtains, these two veterans are best friends and share a mutual respect. A match pitting two all-time greats, two best friends, and a former nemesis will undoubtedly be perfect for Cena’s last match as part of our WrestleMania 41 predictions.
2. Legacy Collides
The new Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton have a lot of history together, both as friends and rivals. The duo was part of a stable dating back to 2008 called “The Legacy” alongside Ted DiBiase JR where they dominated the scene for years before it exploded and faced each other in a triple threat at WrestleMania 26 with Orton emerging victorious.
Both Randy and Cody have come so far since The Legacy days. Randy Orton has been eying The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns ever since he returned from his injury at the WWE Survivor Series last year. As per reports, Orton was supposed to face Roman Reigns at a major WWE PLE after his return in a singles match but it did not happen. Instead, they both faced each other in a fatal four-way match at Royal Rumble also involving LA Knight and AJ Styles.
The Original Tribal Chief made his huge comeback to the WWE at WWE SummerSlam 2024 this last week and has opened the possibilities of dream matches for The Head of the Table. Though Roman Reigns is busy dealing with his family and Bloodline issues, a match with a veteran like Randy Orton cannot be ruled out at The Showcase of Immortals.
4. A Battle with The Best in the World
CM Punk proved to the whole world that he still has what it takes to perform at an elite level when he faced Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam 2024. After returning to WWE Survivor Series last year, Punk was quick to make headlines in the WWE. However, he was not the only one who returned that fateful night, as the Legend Killer, Randy Orton also made his return to the WWE after over a year and a half that day.
Randy Orton and CM Punk have shared locker rooms together for years and now find themselves together again. Both are well-respected and very popular veterans of this business and a match between them at WrestleMania 41 will surely be a blockbuster showdown after their stellar showdown witnessed at Mania itself in 2011.
