The WrestleMania 41 Predictions are taking a different direction with each passing week. The March 17th, 2025 edition of Monday Night RAW was just another example of the same which saw the return of WWE’s former superhero, John Cena, for the first time since turning heel.

The Cenation Leader left all his principles in the rearview and turned to the dark side at the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber PLE for the first time in two decades. The fans were expecting to see a brand new John Cena upon his heel turn, but it was the exact opposite that they got.
Did fans expect to see a new John Cena as per the WrestleMania 41 Predictions?
As the road to The Show of Shows began for John Cena, he lost the Royal Rumble match. But Cena immediately bounced back with a win inside the Men’s Elimination Chamber this year. With his remarkable win, Cena earned the right to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title. However, Cena aligned himself with The Rock and turned heel which became a game-changing moment in WWE history.
The Cenation Leader made his first appearance on the March 17th, 2025, edition of Monday Night RAW after turning heel. However, to the disappointment of many fans, Cena came back donning his baby face outfit and on his old entrance music only. But there was noticeable change in his walk, attitude and as soon as he opened his mouth, it was clear that this was a different John Cena, which was slightly predicted in our previous WrestleMania 41 Predictions.
John Cena vented out years of anger and frustrations on the WWE Universe. He called them out for being abusive and mistreating him for 25 years. Cena claimed that he tried to give his best every single night to the fans, but it was never enough for them. In the end, Cena made it clear that he was ‘breaking up’ with the fans and he no longer was their puppet.
Amidst his heated verbal rant, John Cena also addressed the fans’ expectations to see him in a new gear and come out to a new entrance music. But he made it clear that the fans would not get anything they desire. His t-shirt and song had his presence in it and John Cena planned to keep it that way. This stirred up the WrestleMania 41 Predictions where fans hoped to see a new John Cena before their eyes in terms of presentation.
WWE’s creative regime has been doing everything opposite of what the fans had hoped for to build intrigue into the television product each and every week. The fans expected changes in John Cena’s presentation. But instead WWE gave them the same John Cena with evil reflecting in his attitude and personality which itself could build more captivating moments as he did in Belgium with the loud crowd reactions.

Moreover, John Cena himself could have possibly not wanted to follow the footsteps of former megastars like Hulk Hogan who changed their entire presentation upon turning heel. Lastly, another possible reason could be Cena’s own decision to explore the heel turn layers while still retaining the originality of his prime baby face character to create a perfect and unique blend.

Regardless of the decision, WWE Universe might not be getting a new John Cena for now, as claimed by him as well. But according to our WrestleMania 41 Predictions, anything can change on the road to the Grandest Show taking place I’m Las Vegas, Nevada.
