The WrestleMania 41 Predictions have a new conversation following the end of the March 28th, 2025, edition of WWE SmackDown revolving around the megastar, CM Punk. The Best in the World had one of the most fulfilling weeks in the years of his historic WWE career, which also garnered a huge reaction from the WWE Universe.

During the end of Friday Night SmackDown, it was revealed that CM Punk will realise his dream and main event WrestleMania this year. This sparked a huge debate in the WrestleMania 41 Predictions whether he deserved that accolade after not having it for his entire WWE career.
Are WrestleMania 41 Predictions of CM Punk being deserving of the main event debatable?
CM Punk has spent many years in WWE with the sole aim of one day main eventing WrestleMania someday. During his first stint, he came close to that accolade on numerous occasions, but failed to do so. Moreover, when he left WWE in 2014, he revealed that his inability to main event The Show of Shows deemed his entire career in the company to be a ‘failure.’
The Best in the World returned to WWE after a decade in 2023, and once again, his prime goal was to main event WrestleMania. Upon his return, WWE had plans for him to wrestle Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 1, as revealed by both men in different interviews. However, his injury at the 2024 Royal Rumble derailed those plans, and he was once again left out of the spotlight.

On the March 25th, 2025 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, CM Punk met with his opponents for this year’s WrestleMania, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, for a contract signing. When he looked over the contract, Reigns Wiseman and his best friend, Paul Heyman, revealed that he would be closing the show at WrestleMania 41 and officially a WrestleMania main eventer.
This sparked a huge debate in the WrestleMania 41 Predictions on whether Punk deserved the accolade. The Second City Saint has been one of the biggest and most influential figures in the professional wrestling industry. CM Punk has been one of the biggest draws along with John Cena, Roman Reigns, and even The Rock, all of whom had main evented WrestleMania.
Moreover, his popularity did not wane when he was away from WWE for ten years, chanting his name numerous times. His status as a top attraction, his illustrious WWE resume, and his ability to captivate the audience make CM Punk worthy of this accolade. So it will be interesting to see if he would be able to emerge victorious in his first main event at WrestleMania 41.
