Solo Sikoa has proven himself to be one of the prominent fixtures on WWE television programming in one year. 2024 was very much the year for the rise of Solo as a singles star, which saw him breakout of the shadow of Roman Reigns and The Bloodline to mark the start of his own legacy.
The former NXT North American Champion took over the reins of The Bloodline after Roman Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE title to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. With Reigns taking an extended absence, Solo Sikoa stepped up and formed his own and a more ruthless version of The Bloodline. His new faction includes other members of his family, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu.
Moreover, with Solo Sikoa having one of the most remarkable years, there has been a conversation regarding if he would be able to ascend to World Championship status next year.
Is a WWE Championship run in Solo Sikoa’s destiny in 2025?
The year 2025 itself will begin with a blockbuster showdown for Solo Sikoa. The self-proclaimed Tribal Chief is set to battle The Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, in a Tribal Combat. The match is scheduled to take place on WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix, emanating from the Intruit Dome in Los Angeles on January 6th.
This can be considered one of the biggest matches of Sikoa’s career at a landmark event for WWE against one of the biggest superstars of all time. Should Sikoa win the bout, this would be a major boost to his status as a WWE superstar and tremendous work as a singles star in 2024. Furthermore, this could lead to a potential championship run for Solo in 2025, which could cement him as a marquee attraction for WWE.
Not only that, Solo Sikoa’s father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, also stated in his podcast that he sees his son become a WWE Champion in 2025. He said, “It’s his time to eat. He’s been out for a minute, perfecting the craft, waited his turn, waited for his opportunity. 2025, I see Solo Sikoa, WWE Champion.”
With Solo coming off one of the most successful years in his time in WWE, there seems a huge possibility that 2025 could be his coronation year. Should Sikoa defeat Reigns on the WWE RAW Netflix debut show and continue the same momentum he had in 2024, there is no doubt that a WWE Championship run will surely be in his destiny in 2025.
