The first night of WWE SmackDown’s return to the USA Network was filled with excitement. It kicked off with a great Steel Cage match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa where Roman Reigns made his huge return and concluded the event with the announcement of a major match which is set to take place at Bad Blood 2024 PLE.
Roman Reigns returned to confront The Bloodline after Cody Rhodes emerged victorious in his steel cage match against Solo Sikoa. Reigns intervened to support the Undisputed WWE Champion, and together they briefly held off The Bloodline. Later on, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Roman would team up with Cody to take on Solo and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
Will Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes Be Able to Co-Exist as a Team at WWE Bad Blood 2024?
Roman Reigns made his tremendous return at WWE SummerSlam 2024 when he took out the new Bloodline which allowed Cody Rhodes to retain his title against Solo Sikoa in the main event. However, after a few weeks, Roman Reigns was taken out by Jacob Fatu on an edition of Friday Night SmackDown, only for the Original Tribal Chief to return on last week’s edition of SmackDown to even the odds for Rhodes against Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline.
Later on during the show when Nick Aldis went to the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to get him to sign the contract for his tag team match at WWE Bad BLood 2024 where he has to team up with Roman Reigns, The American Nightmare refused to sign the contract stating that he did not want to anything with Bloodline. However, in the closing moments of SmackDown, Rhodes would go on to sign the contract and make the match official for WWE Bad Blood 2024.
Even though the match has been announced for WWE Bad Blood 2024, most of the fans in the WWE Universe are wondering if Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns would be able to keep their issues aside and would be able to co-exist at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
On this week’s Monday Night RAW, a promo was shown that advertised Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns to appear at WWE Bad Blood 2024 where they both will appear to find common ground which possibly could be their hatred for Solo Sikoa. If the closing moments of last week’s Friday Night SmackDown are any indication, then expect Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns to co-exist together to beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
