The WWE Universe has once again witnessed the emergence of The Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns after returning to WWE at WWE SummerSlam 2024. Reigns, since that night has been trying to reclaim his throne from Solo Sikoa.
With his humongous return to the WWE, it is prevalent that The Original Tribal Chief will take back his position as ‘The Guy’ in the global juggernaut. Still, The Head of the Table first needs to take care of some personal issues with his cousins in The Bloodline. Several WWE Superstars will look to make their name at the expense of Roman after his return, so let us take a look at some dream matches that should happen in 2025.
1. Randy Orton
Randy Orton has been eying The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns ever since he returned from his injury at the WWE Survivor Series last year. As per reports, Orton was supposed to face Roman Reigns at a major WWE PLE after his return in a singles match but it did not happen. Instead, they both faced each other in a fatal four-way match at Royal Rumble also involving LA Knight and AJ Styles.
The Original Tribal Chief made his huge comeback to the WWE at WWE SummerSlam 2024 this last week and has opened the possibilities of dream matches for The Head of the Table. Though Roman Reigns is busy dealing with his family and Bloodline issues, a match with a veteran like Randy Orton cannot be ruled out in 2025.
2. The Rock
The Rock vs. Roman Reigns was supposed to happen at this year’s WrestleMania, however, a huge online movement of the WWE Universe in favor of Cody Rhodes made the duo team up instead, leaving this match due for a later date.
Even though Reigns and The Rock aligned together to strengthen the Bloodline, a dream showdown between the two is bound to happen and the year 2025 seems to be the perfect time for this huge matchup to happen.
3. CM Punk
CM Punk’s second innings in the WWE have added an all-new dimension to his professional wrestling career. A lot has changed since Punk left WWE in 2014, and even though he faced Roman Reigns earlier in his first run, now The Head of the Table is a different animal in the squared circle.
Moreover, WWE SummerSlam 2024 not only made headlines due to CM Punk’s terrific match but also for the mega return of The Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. So, a match between the Superstars of the caliber of CM Punk and Roman Reigns is heavily expected to tear the house down.
4. Jacob Fatu
Amidst the absence of Roman Reigns for the last few months, Solo Sikoa looked to establish his dominance on Friday Night SmackDown and created his own Bloodline by recruiting new members to the stable. One such Superstar was the newly debuted Jacob Fatu.
Jacob Fatu created havoc the moment he showed up on Friday Night SmackDown and took out Roman Reigns himself on Friday Night SmackDown. A match between Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns potentially might happen in the future as the two hard-hitting Samoans can produce a blockbuster showdown and is one of Roman Reigns’ dream matches.
