Early Life & Real Name

Born on July 9, 1998, in Miami, Florida, Lola Vice is of Cuban descent. Her real name is Valerie Loureda. The name ‘Vice’ in her in-ring name came from Miami Vice, as she wanted to represent her hometown and also because she is the first Cuban American woman to be in WWE.

Career and Interests Before WWE

Before signing with the WWE and entering the world of sports entertainment, Lola Vice had already made a huge name for herself in Bellator MMA. Lola had a decent run in Bellator MMA under the Flyweight division, where she debuted in 2019 against Colby Fletcher, winning via TKO.

Lola Vice had a total of five fights in her MMA career in which she earned four victories and one loss, and her single loss in her MMA career only came via decision. Her last MMA fight came at Bellator 271, where she won the match by decision, but later on, she started focusing on her transition to sports entertainment. Furthermore, Lola Vice also holds a black belt in Taekwondo.

Professional Wrestling Career

After her last MMA fight in November 2021, Lola Vice pursued a career in the WWE. Attending WrestleMania 38 as a fan, she would also go on for a tryout at the WrestleMania weekend, impressing several WWE officials which led her to sign a contract with NXT in August 2022.

After very extensive training, Lola Vice was quick to make her WWE debut. She wrestled her first WWE match at a Live Event in November of the same year and announced her in-ring name in December 2022.

NXT Debut

Showing such incredible talent while honing her craft in the ring, Lola Vice would make her on-screen NXT debut on the January 27th, 2023, episode of NXT Level Up, where she wrestled Dani Palmer. Lola Vice has already won some huge matches in her NXT career over main roster talents like Shayna Baszler and Natalya and has shown a commendable presence in the NXT Women’s Championship scene.

Lola would go on to win the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament in 2023 after putting away Kelani Jordan in the finals, earning the right to challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Title. However, Lola Vice would cash in on that opportunity on Perez in a losing effort.
