Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Lyra Valkyria made her debut in NXT UK. After making a lasting impression there, Valkyria made her debut on NXT TV, where she became the NXT Women’s Champion and then made her main roster debut last year.
Lyra Valkyria made history earlier this year when she put away Dakota Kai to become the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and fans expected big things for the promising talent at the Show of Shows, but sadly, it hasn’t been the case.

Fans expected big things for Lyra Valkyria after she won the IC Title with several fans who thought she would defend her title against The Man because of their history. However, it appears she is not defending her title at all and will instead be chasing the tag titles, disappointing fans in the process.
Many WWE fans feel Lyra Valkyria deserved an opportunity to defend her title against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 41 because it would have elevated Valkyria and brought more prestige to the title. Valkyria would absolutely benefit from a top-tier match against The Man at the Show of Shows, and now it will be interesting to see when she gets that opportunity in her career in the future.
