Cody Rhodes has been riding high on his WrestleMania main event victory over Roman Reigns when he defeated The Original Tribal Chief to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. Since then, The American Nightmare has been keeping a tight grip on his title making it known to the rest of the roster that no one can take his title away from him.
The Undisputed WWE Champion teamed up with Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood 2024 this last weekend to face Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa where the team of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated The new Bloodline. However, it was something that happened after the event which made headlines among the WWE Universe.
When Will Kevin Owens Face Cody Rhodes for Undisputed WWE Title?
Cody finally put away Solo Sikoa and The new Bloodline at WWE Bad Blood 2024 to make a major statement and get him away from The Bloodline saga. However, little did he know that the night was not over yet for The American Nightmare, as heartbreak awaited The Prodigal son following the event.
There were growing tensions between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes lately which ultimately came to fruition after WWE Bad Blood 2024 went off the air when the duo confronted each other. A video that was uploaded by a fan on Social Media saw Owens and Rhodes argue which ultimately ended with Owens smacking Rhodes, and continuously assaulting the Undisputed WWE Chanpioin before the officials could intervene and get him away from Cody Rhodes.
Many fans in the WWE Universe saw the heel turn coming, Cody Rhodes successfully defeated Kebin Owens at WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 to retain his title, the growing frustrations along with some miscommunications between the two led to the betrayal, which will now settle in the ring soon.
Cody Rhodes is all set to face The WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at WWE Crown Jewel 2024 for the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Championship. However, the interaction with Kevin Owens is expected to be addressed down the line, and duo should be facing each other at WWE Survivor Series for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
