Roman Reigns did not appear on WWE television programming until WWE SummerSlam 2024 where The Head of the Table made his return to the WWE and helped his former rival to retain his championship. However, after the return of the Original Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, WWE fans are wondering if he has stolen American Nightmare’s thunder.

Roman Reigns stunned the WWE Universe with his surprise mega-return to the WWE when he returned at WWE SummerSlam 2024 to cost Solo Sikoa his match against Cody Rhodes. The Original Tribal Chief has become the talk of the town since his return, to the extent that even fans are wondering if the Undisputed WWE Champion has been overshadowed by the return of Roman Reigns.
Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship and to ‘Finish the Story’ at WrestleMania 40 with huge fanfare and momentum. However, The Progial Son’s momentum seemed to slow down upon his huge victory with no fault of his own but a lack of interesting storylines and built-up challengers.
Cody Rhodes has over-delivered in all aspects of his title run so far with his capabilities to make the title run as legendary as possible with great matches against the likes of AJ Styles, and Logan Paul. However. Not having challengers who are credible enough to look like a major threat to Rhodes due to their respective booking halts the champion’s plans and dreams to establish his title run as iconic as it could be.
The return of Roman Reigns has added more life to the WWE product due to the unmatched aura and star power that the ‘OTC’ possesses. It would be interesting to see if the return of The Tribal Chief overshadows Cody Rhodes’ title run or if The Prodigal Son bounces back stronger to put a legendary title run.
