Cody Rhodes has achieved everything he wanted in his wrestling career, reaching the pinnacle of this business. The American Nightmare ‘Finished the Story’ won the Undisputed WWE Championship, and he has become the face of the global juggernaut, WWE.

However, being the son of a WWE Superstar is no easy feat. It puts you under immense pressure to live up to the hype and live up to the name. But The Prodigal Son succeeded at every step of the way. He has honoured his late father, Dusty Rhodes’ legacy and recently paid homage to him at Madison Square Garden. However, Rhodes might have gone on to pursue almost different career paths in the beginning.

Why did Cody Rhodes shift focus from wrestling to acting?

The current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, was a special guest on ‘The Pivot Podcast.’ Rhodes revealed that while growing up, he was concerned about his height. Rhodes said that his brother was 6’6″ and expected his height to be around the same, but it went anywhere around six feet. He further considered pursuing acting after studying fine arts at Howard’s Fine Acting studio and then jumping to professional wrestling.

“I got around so my brother’s 6’6″ legitimately 6’6″ I thought I was going to be 6’6″ my brother’s 6’6″ I got the same size shoe I should be 66 I realized I wasn’t going to get to 66 near the end of high school was hidden six foot and it seemed like that was where we were going to end I was where where it was going to be so I got a little concerned maybe I’m not big enough to be a pro wrestler maybe I’ll go do acting I’ll go to La I’ll go to Howard fine acting studio and I’ll do that and then in my mind I’m thinking and then I could jump into pro wrestling.”

Without any shadow of a doubt, Cody Rhodes has reached a level of super-stardom in the WWE and has developed an unforgettable connection with the fans, as evidenced by the reactions he gets from the WWE Universe. Moving forward, The American Nightmare is expected to put his title on the line against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam 2024 after accepting his challenge last week on SmackDown.
