While discussing his journey to the top of the industry with the podcast hosts, The American Nightmare touched upon his relationship with Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. Rhodes revealed that John Cena is the best teacher he has ever had, as he has taught him things without making it a teaching moment. He also revealed that Rhodes always had this curiosity to learn how Cena grew to the level where he is today.
“John Cena uh I talk about him a lot in the media and I kind of feel bad cuz I know he’ll read like everything you say and I’m like a man I don’t want him to think I’m just like always blowing smoke but John was truthly truthfully my guy I drove him around for I don’t know two years before he got his big tour bus and and I never positioned myself as hey teach me John teach me John but that’s what it was I wanted to know like how man like you’re how are you on this level that you’re on where it’s just like we couldn’t go anywhere without I’m a mad scene um and he was just the absolute best teacher the best advice ever without without making it a teaching moment every car ride was worth its weight in gold … so to have him.”
