Cody Rhodes currently sits atop the WWE mountain as the Undisputed WWE Champion. He marked his kingdom upon his monumental victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and is on his way to becoming the next face of WWE in the modern era.
The American Nightmare is proving himself as the most marketable superstar in WWE after racking up record-breaking merchandise sales and financial profits that WWE has gained upon making Rhodes, the golden boy of the global juggernaut. Recently, The American Nightmare was seen sharing his thoughts on another legend from a different background, the UFC legend, the Irish Superstar, Conor McGregor.
Why did Cody Rhodes label Conor as both the biggest face and heel in professional sports?
The current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, was a special guest on the popular podcast, ‘The Pivot Podcast‘ where while speaking with the podcast hosts, The American Nightmare was commenting on Conor McGregor’s unmatched star power. The Prodigal Son said that Cono McGregor is both the biggest ‘Babyface’ and ‘heel’ in all of professional sports as he can draw people to the shows and whether the fans want to see him getting beaten up or if they are rooting for him, they are still coming to see him and also compared him to John Cena.
“I want to say the biggest face also in all of sports also might be the biggest heel he could be both and that might be Conor McGregor it because he has a way of drawing people to the show he has a way and again that connection of I want to see I hate this guy I want to see him get his head kicked off or I love this guy this is my guy that feeling it’s the Cena was wrestling’s prime example he used to come out there and they say let’s go Cena Cena sucks all that told you is the other guy wasn’t they weren’t there for the other guy they were they they were there to make their mind up about how they felt about John.“
Cody Rhodes has established himself as one of the greatest superstars of all time in WWE history and has developed an unforgettable connection with the fans, as evidenced by the reactions he gets from the WWE Universe. Moving forward, The American Nightmare is expected to put his title on the line against Solo Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam 2024 after accepting his challenge last week on SmackDown.
