Cody Rhodes recently joined Ariel Helwani for his podcast, ‘The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani‘ where he discussed his WrestleMania 40 victory, feud with The Rock and his vision for his Undisputed WWE Championship run.

During the interview, Cody drew parallels between The Rock’s Final Boss persona and WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan’s Hollywood Hogan Incarnation. The American Nightmare stated that fans did not expect Hulk Hogan to show that side of his character at the Bash at The Berlin due to his captivating superhero and Hulkamania persona. Rhodes stated that it felt like a franchise thing and then suddenly there was a new layer in it and the same could be said of The Rock’s Final Boss character during the buildup to WrestleMania 40.

“I don’t think at the time fans expected when the bash at the beach incident happened I don’t think fans expected Hogan to have a whole another thing we had seen Hulk Mania for so long right run and wild everywhere and it was it was very much like McDonald’s you know it was a franchise thing you did i everywhere and to see this added layer even though uh I’m not a fan of uh the Rock by any means not currently this I can respect the fact that it’s uh been a very unique ride a unique build as people like to say on the way to Wrestlemania 40.”

Cody Rhodes did successfully overcome all the odds and obstacles that The Rock and Roman Reigns threw put in front of him and “Finished his Story”. Cody is determined to become the best Undisputed WWE Champion of all time and is now slated to face Logan Paul at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
