WWE star Ava Raine happens to be the one who thrives under the pressure of expectations she is living. It is not easy to follow in your family’s footsteps or to make a career in the same industry where your parents have created history and established themselves. The pressure that comes onto you due to these expectations that people will have from you is treacherous, but Ava has exceeded a lot of expectations.
Ava Raine, daughter of the former WWE Champion and one of the greatest Hollywood celebrities of all time, The Rock, is signed to NXT to hone her craft and become a future WWE Women’s Champion. However, lately, Ava has been seen as an official on NXT, and fans wonder whether she will return to in-ring action in the future.
Will The Rock’s Daughter Ava Raine Return to the ring?
Currently, Ava is seen as the on-screen General Manager of NXT on NXT TV, making her the youngest on-screen General Manager in WWE history. Ava is a fourth-generation professional wrestler with roots in the legendary Anoa’i family.
In February 2020, Ava Raine reported to the WWE Performance Center. After training there for a couple of years, she made her NXT TV debut on the October 25, 2022, edition of NXT when she revealed herself to be a member of Joey Gacy’s Schism faction. Ava made her in-ring debut at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023, where her team lost to Chase University. However, once Schism disbanded, Ava became an on-screen assistant to Shawn Michaels and later got promoted to the General Manager position of the brand.
Ever since Schism disbanded, Ava Raine has yet to make her in-ring return to the company. For over a year now, she has been seen as an official in NXT. However, Ava Raine is expected to make her in-ring return anytime next year since her goal to join WWE was to become a women’s champion.
However, Dave Meltzer stated in a report that this might be Ava’s role in WWE as he revealed that she is no longer training for in-ring action. He said, “I think this is her role,” Meltzer said, referring to Raine’s status as the “NXT” GM. “She’s being groomed for an authority figure on the main roster at some point, or she’s going to do this for a while. I don’t know.”
So it will be interesting to see if Ava Raine does return to the ring or remains as an authority figure for the rest of her tenure in the global juggernaut.
