WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar is regarded as one of most lethal and dominant athletes in combat sports history. From WWE to UFC, he has seemingly done it all capturing every major accolade en route to becoming one of the biggest superstars of this generation.

During his second tenure, the WWE Universe has witnessed several Brock Lesnar dream matches with the Alpha male of all species battling the likes of Triple H, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, John Cena and many others. The beginning of the year also saw one dream match that all wrestling fans had been asking for years finally come to fruition i.e Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at WWE Royal Rumble 2022.

The Beast Incarnate was last seen at Wrestlemania 38, where he was defeated by the Head of the Table Roman Reigns in a Champion vs Champion Title Unification match losing his WWE championship in the process. With Lesnar giving us many memorable moments and in ring encounters, here are 5 dream matches left for the Beast Incarnate against the current crop of WWE.

5. Gunther

A current influx of new superstars has been prevalent on both RAW and Smackdown lately. One of the most dominant and imposing figures that one can mention is Gunther. The Ring General was considered a huge mainstay back in the NXT UK brand reigning as its world champion for nearly 2 years demolishing a list of upcoming and current WWE talent.

The former WALTER recently made his main roster debut on Smackdown squashing the lights of an unknown opponent putting the entire WWE universe on notice that he would be a force to be reckoned with on the blue brand.

WWE Executive and former professional wrestler Triple H once compared the gigantic superstar with the Beast Incarnate on an episode of WWE’s The Bump:

“It is tough to bet against WALTER. Anyone who’s watched him over the last few years; anyone who has recently watched him against Ilja [Dragunov]. He is one of the most physically imposing, physically dominating performers out there. There is no wasted movement, he is not flashy, he doesn’t care about how it looks, he is just effective. That being said, you have seen it in the past with other talent like Brock Lesnar.”

Although Brock Lesnar is not advertised for any further appearances as of now, WWE can utilize this time and build up Gunther’s profile on the main roster before beginning the feud between these two massive forces leading to a marquee match at a major PPV like WWE Summerslam.

4. Edge

An ideal candidate for a dream match with Brock Lesnar could be none other than the former Rated-R Superstar, WWE Hall of Famer Edge. Ever since returning to the ring after nine years and multiple neck surgeries, The now Inferno King has been in the best shape and conditioning of his life delivering high profile matches with the likes of Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and most recently AJ Styles, while also winning the Royal Rumble and main eventing Wrestlemania during his second stint in the WWE.

Both Edge and Lesnar have collided in the ring previously during their early beginnings, even on one occasion for the WWE championship with the champion Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman competing against Edge in a handicap match at WWE Rebellion 2002 with the Ultimate Opportunist coming up short.

While it has been almost 20 years since their last encounter, time has certainly shifted its course with these two legends walking their own paths towards a successful career and with Edge declaring that he was on borrowed time during his second run, WWE should book this dream match at any major PPV coming up this year which can see The Master Manipulator clash against The Conqueror in a classic showdown.

3. Cody Rhodes

The Beast Incarnate had rambled through some of the greatest legends of the industry on his way to stardom, but he is yet to encounter a Nightmare or in this case, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

While Cody was destined to be positioned as the top tier second generation athlete at the time of his first tenure in the WWE in 2008, Lesnar sought to conquer the world of Mixed Martial Arts that time in the UFC by defeating the likes of MMA fighters like Randy Couture and becoming the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Even when the Beast returned to the WWE in 2012, Cody had expressed his displeasure over Lesnar’s comeback to the squared circle:

it kind of just made me angry and not in  a way like, ‘Oh, blast. They get to be on another pay per view.’ More in a way that – I’m out there working. I never take a day off. I never plan on taking a day off. I’m so in love with the wrestling business I couldn’t see myself going away. And these guys have that ability to come back in because they have that presence, they have that following and are just automatically accepted as superstars again. So there’s something to learn and something to be kind of irritated from that whole Attitude Era generation, but I get it from both the good and the bad.

Ten years later, both Cody and Brock are in the same company and have transcended into becoming two of the biggest names in Sports Entertainment with both having a major difference in their ring style and ability. While Lesnar’s dominant and forceful nature in the ring has made many WWE Superstars residents of Suplex City, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes has continued to amaze the wrestling fans all over the globe with technically gifted athleticism along with revolutionizing the entire wrestling industry with his creative acumen behind the scenes.

So, a match between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar would be in every sense a dream match for a big WWE show like Summerslam or Survivor Series later this year should Lesnar choose to return in time for it.

2. Gable Steveson

Tokyo wrestling gold medalist Gable Steveson looks to be one of the brightest prospects to establish themselves as a future main event star in the WWE.

After winning the Olympics, Steveson signed with the WWE being drafted to the RAW brand after completing his college career with a repeat NCAA heavyweight title win with Minnesota.

Looking at Gable Steveson’s road in the wrestling world until now, a lot of similarities can be traced back to Lesnar’s rise in the business right from his amateur wrestling background at the University of Minnesota to signing with WWE at any early age.

Gable has also trained with Lesnar three years ago in preparation for the Olympics:

Most recently, Gable Steveson made an appearance at Wrestlemania 38 suplexing fellow Olympian Chad Gable during an in-ring segment, the same show where Lesnar lost the biggest Wrestlemania main event to Roman Reigns.

WWE could move forward to build the Olympian for the reminder of the year culminating into a mega showdown between Gable Steveson and Brock Lesnar next year at Wrestlemania 39 seeing a young aspirant battling his mentor in front of a sold out stadium in Hollywood putting together one of the greatest wrestling matches in the history of the WWE.

1. Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is yet another WWE superstar whose early meteoric rise can be compared to Lesnar’s back in 2002. Much like the Beast Incarnate in his early days, The Big Bad Booty nephew has become a resident force of dominance in NXT 2.0 in a short span of time winning the NXT Championship on two different occasions stepping up to industry veterans like Tomasso Ciampa and Dolph Ziggler inside the squared circle.

WWE NXT 2.0’s merciful champion appeared on El Brunch with Quetzallli Bulnes for an interview mentioning his desire to fight Lesnar and his perception of the Alpha male:

I met him, I mean like 2017, maybe or something like that. I went backstage for a Raw competition when I was in college. I’ve met him there, but as a performer, I haven’t run into him yet. Yes, I enjoyed working with Brock. He is an animal. I think he’s going to be like Roddy who elevates me. You know, forcing me to raise the bar and take my game up. I think Brock will do the same thing, and I think it will be a fight.

With Breakker enjoying immense success at the very beginning of his career, he could add some more accolades to his already impressive resume and WWE could build him as legit main event star on the main roster before he gets the opportunity to step in the ring with the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar for a blockbuster encounter.
