“3 Right Moves Triple H Could Have Made for WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE”

wwe king and queen of the ring

WWE smashed records with the WWE Backlash France, and now are set to host their second WWE Premium Live Event this month in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The company will be presenting the King and Queen of the Ring PLE on May 25th, 2024 where they will crown their new King and Queen respectively.

Furthermore, WWE King and Queen of the Ring’s main event will see The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against the WWE United States Champion Logan Paul. The company is building up the show quite well and has been trying its best to generate interest among fans. However, WWE could have made some different choices for the show and the tournaments that might have benefitted the WWE superstars and the show in Jeddah itself more.

Let us take a look at 3 of those choices that WWE could have made for the upcoming Premium Live Event:

1. Cody Rhodes vs. Logan Paul should have been ‘Title vs. Title’ at WWE King and Queen of the Ring

WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque had a huge opportunity in his hands to make the main event of the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event even bigger by having Logan Paul also put his WWE United States Championship on the line against Cody Rhodes, making it a ‘Title vs. Title Match.’

This move would have raised the stakes to a whole new level and garnered major interest levels among the WWE Universe. Moreover, it could have also given Cody Rhodes the opportunity to become a Grand Slam Champion in the company. However, as we witnessed in the contract signing last week on Friday Night SmackDown, the match instead will be for the Undisputed WWE Championship only, leaving a major portion of the fans upset.

2. Queen of the Ring finals should have had both rising stars

WWE had their first set of semi-finals for the WWE King and Queen of the Ring tournaments on this week’s Monday Night RAW, which saw Gunther and Lyra Valkyria advancing to the final round of their respective tournaments respectively.

For the Women’s side, the fans will witness Bianca Belair, who defeated Tiffany Stratton, going against Nia Jax after she picked up a disqualification win over Jade Cargill in the semi-final round on Friday Night SmackDown. However, had Tiffany or Cargill advanced to the finals much like the upcoming Lyra Valkyria, it would have done wonders for their young careers and given them a major opportunity to rise to the prominent ranks in the women’s division for years to come.

3. Not letting Liv and Becky dig down their history together

Apart from Cody Rhodes vs. Logan Paul, another headlining match of the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event will see Becky Lynch defending her newly won WWE Women’s World Championship against her heated rival Liv Morgan in a one-on-one match.

The duo have been battling it on the mic week in and out for weeks. However, they still have not been allowed to scratch the surface and pull the envelope of their history together. Moreover, this feud would not have happened to begin with if it wasn’t for Rhea Ripley’s unfortunate injury, but the lack of acknowledgment of their past has affected the build-up to their match which necessarily has made the champion look like a second fiddle in her own feud.
