WWE is set to present the second edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event following the resurrection of the event back in December 2024. The first edition of the show proved to be a blockbuster show and featured top names such as Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Jesse Ventura, Liv Morgan and IYO Sky.

The next edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on January 25, 2025, from San Antonio, Texas, at the Frost Bank Center. One superstar who competed at the first show is set to have another match at this edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, i.e. Gunther. The Ring General successfully defended his World Heavyweight title in a triple threat match against Damian Priest and Finn Balor. However, this time, the man to step up to the challenge is ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso.

Can Jey Uso dethrone Gunther for the title at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event ?

Jey Uso is coming off one of the greatest years in WWE in 2024. The YEET man’s popularity skyrocketed through the roof, moved the WWE merchandise in quick pace from the shelfs and even won his singles title after 14 years in the company, i.e. the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Moreover, Jey Uso has revealed his intentions to become a World Champion in 2025. He had a chance to make his prophecy come true at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio, Texas. The Main Event star will challenge The Ring General for the World Heavyweight Championship. While fans are arguably in support for Jey Uso to ascend to the next level with a World title win, that might not be the case at the event.

Gunther has been a dominant champion since winning the World title back at the WWE SummerSlam 2024. Furthermore, The Ring General had a successful title defense at the last WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show and according to multiple reports, he is not expected to lose the title anytime soon. Moreover, as Gunther reminded Jey Uso during their heated segment, the YEET man has never been able to defeat him in a singles match, remiscenting on their bout for the WWE Intercontinental title last year.

Jey Uso has transformed himself into a main event attraction, doing justice to his moniker. He has all the tools to become a World Champion, however looking at the current scenario, it seems that this edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event would not be the crowning moment for him.
