WWE Royal Rumble 2025 Predictions: 4 Superstars Most Likely to Miss the Event

wwe royal rumble 2025

WWE Royal Rumble 2025 will be the company’s first Premium Live Event in the new year, captivating the audience like no other. The highly popular WWE event will take place on February 1st at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis in front of a record-setting audience.

The Royal Rumble event is known to be an important stop for all WWE superstars as it marks the beginning of the road to WrestleMania. However, witnessing the events in the company, here are four WWE superstars who are possibly expected to miss the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event:

4. Tonga Loa

Tonga Loa has proved himself to be a useful addition to Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline ever since he made his WWE debut at WWE Backlash France. On that night, Tonga became the second member of the faction, joining Solo Sikoa and his own brother, Tama Tonga, strengthening the ranks of the dominant group more.

However, Tonga Loa suffered a devastating biceps injury during the War Games match at the WWE Survivor Series Premium Live Event. He has not been on WWE TV since and is expected not to make a full recovery by the time the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event comes around.

3. Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed made a huge impact in 2024 as a formidable force on Monday Night RAW. The Tsunami delivered some of the most dominating performances in the show’s history. However, tragedy struck, as, like Tonga Loa, Bronson Reed also suffered a devastating injury to his ankle at the WWE Survivor Series 2024 event inside War Games.

In a tweet months after the injury, Reed made it clear that he had not suffered a fracture but even a more serious injury. Bronson Reed revealed that he had smashed his talus bone in half, which required a lengthy surgical procedure to repair. In the same tweet, Reed also mentioned that he would be missing WrestleMania 41, which also means that he would not be a part of the event preceding it, WWE Royal Rumble 2025.

2. Asuka

Asuka is one of the most talented and impressive in-ring competitors in the WWE women’s division. The Empress of Tomorrow has been out of action since last summer when she was pulled out of the WWE Queen of the Ring tournament.

In September 2024, Asuka updated the fans that she was undergoing treatment for her knee surgery and had largely remained out of the public eye during her rehabilitation. This makes Asuka unlikely to be back in February for the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event, and WWE may hold back her return further.

1. Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair has been out of action since suffering a devastating knee injury in December 2023 during her match with Asuka on SmackDown. The Queen underwent surgery and had been rehabbing for months while continuing to keep her fans updated with her progress.

Reports have suggested that Charlotte Flair‘s return is coming sooner than expected, but no timeline is in place. With the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event approaching, there is a possibility that The Queen might miss it, choosing to focus more on her recovery, which she might not have reached considering the seriousness of her knee injury.
