WWE has started planning its next Premium Live Event, WWE Royal Rumble 2025, which will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis on February 1st, 2025. Superstars from the Men’s and Women’s divisions look forward to making history by participating in the annual Royal Rumble matches, respectively.
WWE Royal Rumble 2025 promises to be a historic event. In 2018, for the first time in history, WWE hosted a Royal Rumble match for the WWE Women’s Division, and since then, it has been a tradition for women to have their own Royal Rumble match.
The female WWE stars have been outshining men in the Royal Rumble matches for the last seven years, making a major statement, and this year should be no different. Let us see five possible superstars who can win the Women’s Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event:
1. Charlotte Flair
The Queen of the WWE, Charlotte Flair, has not been seen in a WWE ring since December 2023, when she got injured in a match with Asuka on an edition of Friday Night SmackDown. According to several reports, Flair is very close to her in-ring return and could return at WWE Royal Rumble 2025 in the Women’s Rumble match.
Several WWE rumours indicate that the brand new WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton might get her dream match at WrestleMania 41 against her idol for the title. Flair could return at WWE Royal Rumble 2025 to participate in the Women’s Rumble match to set up the encounter between the two in Las Vegas.
2. Liv Morgan
Arguably the WWE Superstar of the Year in 2024, Liv Morgan is all set to maintain her streak of competing in all the Women’s Royal Rumble matches that have taken place. This comes after she lost her Women’s World Title to Rhea Ripley at WWE RAW’s debut episode on Netflix.
After ruling the WWE Women’s Division for most of 2024, Liv Morgan is expected to be in a marquee match at WrestleMania 41. The former Women’s World Champion could win the Women’s Royal match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event after being a runner-up for the last two years and could challenge Ripley for the title to get her ultimate revenge.
3. Becky Lynch
It’s been a while since The Man has come around to a WWE ring, and a return at WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is expected from Becky Lynch to shake up the title scene in the WWE Women’s Division. Lynch has always been a significant threat to any champion in the division and could potentially win the Royal Rumble match this year to create more history.
Becky Lynch has not been seen in the WWE since May 2024. The Man is expected to return to the WWE anytime now and is a heavy favourite in the betting odds to win the Women’s Rumble match at WWE Royal Rumble 2025. Becky Lynch has already won a Royal Rumble match in 2019, and she could make even more history by winning it again and becoming the first woman in history to win the Royal Rumble twice.
4. Iyo Sky
Iyo Sky walked in last year’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event as the WWE Women’s Champion. However, this has not been the case this year as The Genius of the Sky enters this year’s event without any gold and looks to prove herself in the Women’s Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event.
For the last few weeks, there have been rumblings that Iyo Sky has been getting groomed to face Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41. Iyo Sky could make this rumour a reality by winning the Women’s Rumble match to challenge Ripley at the Showcase of Immortals.
5. Bianca Belair
Bianca Belair has not been seen as challenging for a singles championship since October 2023, but The EST of WWE can change that by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event to insert herself in the title picture.
Bianca Belair already won a Royal Rumble match in 2021, which directly put her in the main event of WrestleMania 37 when she faced Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Belair could recreate history by winning the match for the second time in her career to challenge for the World Title at WrestleMania 41.
