WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is set to take over the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis on February 1st. The major highlight of the event will be the 30-person over-the-top-rope battle royal for both the Men’s and Women’s sides for a World Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 41.
The Men’s Rumble match is shaping up to be a blockbuster field, with the official entry of John Cena and Roman Reigns already being announced. However, one superstar might also be eyeing a top spot on the road to WrestleMania, and he is no other than The Visionary himself, Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
Can Seth Rollins win his second Rumble Match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event?
Seth Rollins did not have the dream start to 2025 as he had expected. He main evented the first Monday Night RAW on Netflix against his arch-rival, CM Punk. The match took place on January 6th, 2025, inside the Intuit Dome and was nothing short of a blockbuster showdown. But in the end, Rollins failed to defeat his nemesis and endured a crushing loss at the hands of The Best in the World.
With a huge loss to start 2025, Seth Rollins needed to change his focus and look ahead toward the road to WrestleMania 41, with the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 being the first stop. Rollins declared himself for the Men’s Rumble match in hopes of getting a World title opportunity at The Show of Shows on the January 13 edition of WWE RAW. Moreover, this could now even lead to Rollins winning the Rumble match for the second time after his first victory back in 2019.
Despite Seth Rollins having all the tools to succeed as a two-time Rumble winner, recent reports and events suggest that Triple H and his regime might have a different plan for the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event. According to multiple reports and hearing fan sentiments on social media and live arenas, John Cena is heavily rumoured to win the Royal Rumble match this year.
But another report by Wrestle Purists suggest that WWE might be book Seth Rollins in a match against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. While Rollins’ chances of winning the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 match seems unlikely, he could win the World title opportunity at the Premium Live Event after i.e. WWE Elimination Chamber.

Seth Rollins can compete inside the Elimination Chamber match against five other competitors and win the bout to challenge Gunther for the World title as per the reports. With the road to WrestleMania 41 ready to kick-off in a few weeks, it will be interesting to see Seth Rollins inclusion in the plans for the grand spectacle set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada in April 2025.
