WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is set to go down as one of the most exciting and much-awaited Premium Live Events of the year. The 38th edition of the show will take place on February 1st at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis. As the event draws near, fans can expect a ton of surprises, possibly planned by the WWE regime.
The event has announced the names of marquees that will either appear or compete in the Rumble’s match, such as John Cena, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins. Moreover, the current face of the company, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, is also scheduled to defend his title against Kevin Owens in a ladder match at the event.
Can Cody Rhodes shockingly enter the Men’s Rumble at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event?
The rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens has been heating up for months. It all began at the end of the WWE Bad Blood Premium Live Event when Owens turned on his then-friend and laid a beatdown on him. The duo even battled for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Rhodes controversially retained his title.
But Kevin Owens once again took him down with a devastating Pile Driver and injured his neck. Adding insult to injury, The Prizefighter took the prestigious Winged Eagle WWE title and has kept the belt in his possession ever since. The heated foes like to finally settle their differences in a ladder match with both WWE titles hanging above the ring.
With Cody Rhodes already scheduled to be a part of a physically battering match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event, it is unlikely that he will enter the Men’s Rumble as a surprise entrant. Moreover, Rhodes himself is the top champion and has not shown any interest in going after the World Heavyweight Championship, further ruling out any possibility of entering the Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 show.
The WWE Universe has witnessed World Champions enter the Royal Rumble match in the past. But with Cody Rhodes being packed for the night, there is a less-than-little chance that WWE throws a major curveball and inserts The American Nightmare into the 30-man over-the-top-rope-melee.
