WWE RAW Netflix debut show is set to lead the global juggernaut into a new era. The first show of Monday Night RAW on Netflix will emanate from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, on January 6. To make the evening even more historical, it will see the coronation of an inaugural champion.
Last month, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced the creation of the brand-new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Since then, a tournament has been taking place with some of the top superstars from the red brand looking to make their claim to the new title.
In the end, it was upstart superstars Dakota Kai and former NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria who reached to the finals. The duo are now set to collide on the WWE RAW Netflix debut show, with the winner to be crowned the first-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria have had opposite roads in WWE leading up to the finals of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament. Dakota Kai has rallied immense fan support for her ongoing journey in WWE. Despite being sidelined by numerous injuries, she fought her back into the women’s division and made her place. Moreover, Dakota Kai has emerged as a huge favourite to become the inaugural champion due to being highly popular among the WWE Universe.
On the other hand, Lyra Valkyria emerged as one of the top prospects from WWE NXT. After being called up to the main roster in 2024, Lyra has delivered some impressive in-ring performances and even reached to the finals of the WWE Queen of the Ring tournament. The Bird Lady has shown immense potential in her ability and a victory in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament to take her career to the next level.
However, despite Lyra Valkyria emerging as a babyface in the RAW women’s division, fans have seemed to side with Dakota Kai ever since the rumours of a new title surfaced. Moreover, this belief has been cemented with WWE booking her to reach the finals of the tournament. With Dakota Kai’s popularity much higher than Lyra Valkyria on the main roster, it seems that it would be in her destiny to become the first-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion on the WWE RAW Netflix debut show.
