A series of qualifying matches took place on both RAW and SmackDown, with Seth Rollins and AJ Styles punching their ticket to Night of Champions to crown the inaugural champion. The duo went head-to-head with each other in a classic display of an amazing wrestling match.

However, the heart and soul of the Visionary proved more as he stomped The Phenomenal One’s face on the mat and pinned him for the three count to become the first-ever World Heavyweight Champion. Following his monumental victory, Triple H came ringside to award him with the championship and signal change in the WWE landscape.
