Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE at the May edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. This was his first appearance since dropping the Undisputed WWE title to John Cena at WrestleMania 41. Following his return, Rhodes has now begun his road to reclaiming the top spot.
To make that happen, Rhodes entered the 2025 WWE King of the Ring tournament. He outlasted LA Knight, Damian Priest, and Andrade El Idolo to win the opening round match and is now headed to the semi-finals scheduled to take place on the June 23rd edition of Monday Night RAW.
However, standing in his path is none other than his close friend, Main Event Jey Uso. The YEET man entered the tournament after losing the World Heavyweight title to Gunther on the June 9th edition of RAW. He won his Fatal 4-Way match on the June 16th edition of RAW to advance to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament.
According to our WWE Night of Champions 2025 Predictions, Rhodes will win the match and head to the finals in Saudi Arabia. Uso might not take the loss too kindly and feel betrayed by his friend. This could lead to the leader of the YEET movement turning heel and costing Rhodes the crown at Night of Champions.

The fans had heavily panned Jey Uso’s World Title reign and showered him with major heat. So this could be the perfect opportunity for him to become a bad guy and begin a feud with Rhodes to build back the momentum as a top star.
