WWE has ushered into a new era with Monday Night RAW’s groundbreaking debut on Netflix. The WWE Netflix era is proving to be extremely promising for both sides as RAW’s debut episode on Netflix had a record viewership of 4.9 million worldwide, setting the bar high from the get-go.

WWE made sure to make a statement upon RAW’s arrival on Netflix in the WWE Netflix era with WrestleMania-caliber matches such as Punk vs. Rollins, Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley, and Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa taking place there. Let us see a few other matches that can possibly happen in this new era of the WWE.

1. Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena

With WrestleMania 41 approaching fast, WWE Universe has begun wondering what top-tier matches they can expect at The Showcase of Immortals and before the event. As the superstars enter the WWE Netflix era, WWE Universe can expect some dream matches to take place sooner rather than later, bringing us to the showdown between John Cena and Cody Rhodes.

John Cena kicked off his ‘retirement tour’ with WWE RAW’s debut episode on Netflix. Many in the WWE Universe would love to see Cena chasing his 17th World Title in this tour, which can lead us to a dream match between Rhodes and Cena for the Undisputed WWE Title in the WWE Netflix era.

2. Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk

CM Punk headlined WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix with a huge victory over his decade-long rival Seth Rollins in a show-stealer bout. Now, as WWE enters the WWE Netflix era, one more CM Punk dream match that could potentially happen down the line is a match against the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes have not crossed paths in the singles action in the WWE since their respective returns from AEW to the WWE. WWE Netflix era could bring these two megastars against each other in a humongous showdown that can even headline WrestleMania.

3. Gunther vs. John Cena

As noted previously, John Cena has started his ‘retirement tour’ in the WWE Netflix era, and is expected to face several top WWE Superstars of the modern era before he laces his wrestling boots for one last time, and the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion seems to be the perfect opponent for the leader of Cenation.

There are plenty of opponents who would be a perfect choice to face John Cena in the retirement tour. However, a match with The Ring General for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship not only will give Cena a story to pursue his 17th World Title, but it will also put over Gunther in the most significant way possible.

4. The Rock vs. Roman Reigns

One of the biggest dream matches that the WWE Universe has been waiting for for over a decade is a showdown between The Rock and Roman Reigns. With the company’s new beginning in the WWE Netflix era, we might finally see this dream match happen.

Even though Reigns and The Rock aligned together to strengthen the Bloodline, the original plans called for The Final Boss and The Tribal Chief to collide in the biggest dream match of all time in the main event of WrestleMania 40, even though fans did not get that match at WrestleMania, this match could happen anytime now in the WWE Netflix era, and it will go down as one of the biggest marquee matches in the history of WWE.

5. Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair

Already heavily rumoured as Tiffany Stratton’s opponent for The Showcase of Immortals in Las Vegas, Charlotte Flair has been gearing up for her highly anticipated return to the WWE for months. According to reports, the dream match between Stratton and Flair might become a reality as the duo is expected to face each other at WrestleMania 41 for the Women’s Title in the WWE Netflix era.

Tiffany Stratton surprised the WWE Universe when she turned on Nia Jax and cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on her to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Since Charlotte Flair’s return is approaching fast, the dream match could happen anytime now in the WWE Netflix era, possibly at WrestleMania.
