The rapid audience in the 02 Arena in London came to see LA Knight. However, the charismatic star climbing the ladder to win failed at the hands of Damien Priest who successfully clinched the Money in the Bank briefcase at WWE‘s namesake event.

The stacked line-up featured Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Santos Escobar, Butch, Damien Priest, internet sensation Logan Paul and the hot favorite to win, LA Knight. The match started with the entire field jumping on Logan Paul, who had the easy route of entering the match without participating in any qualifying match. Moreover, LA Knight had the crowd on his feet right when he entered the match with any spectacular move he did inside the squared circle.

Another spot saw country favorite, Butch bringing a cricket bat into the mix to knock off his opponents. Moreover, any brilliant attempt at athleticism by Logan Paul received a shower of loud boos from the London crowd, Ricochet mesmerizing the audience with his high-flying spots and Butch’s explosive moonsault from the ladder on the entire field.

The match’s amazing pace, athleticism by WWE superstars, and use of the ladder environment busted out the “This is Awesome” chants in full force. The conclusion of the multi-man bout saw fan-favorite LA Knight being knocked off the ladder by Damien Priest and grabbing the Money in the Bank briefcase, upsetting thousands of LA Knight fans.

LA Knight had been struggling on the mid-card, donning the gimmick of Max Dupri last year. However, with the onset of Triple H’s regime, the dynamic star reverted back to his popular NXT persona and that was the beginning of the re-emergence of the YEAH! movement.

However, his celebration was cut short by Damien Priest’s timing who slithered the opportunity away from LA Knight. We will just have to wait and see when he decides to strike with the golden opportunity that could probably lead him to the dreamland and become the next WWE World Champion.
