The road to WrestleMania 41 would go through Toronto, Canada, for the WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 on March 1st. This will be the last Premium Live Event before The Show of Shows in Las Vegas this year and will shape the card for Mania further following the aftermath of the Men’s and Women’s Elimination Chamber.
Speaking of the Men’s Chamber match, the match will see a star-studded lineup of WWE superstars competing for a World Championship match at WrestleMania. So far, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have qualified for the match. But all eyes will be on the man who declared his entry in the match and has one last opportunity to main event their final WrestleMania at WWE Elimination Chamber 2025. He is none other than John Cena. But it surely does not seem to be an easy task for the Cenation Leader.
What if John Cena’s dreams come crashing down at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2025?
John Cena kicked off his highly anticipated farewell tour on RAW’s debut show on Netflix. The 16-time WWE Champion’s first match on the tour was the Men’s Royal Rumble match at the 2025 Royal Rumble edition this year. Cena walked into the match with unwavering fan support and hopes of winning the Rumble to earn an opportunity for his 17th World Championship and headline his final appearance at WrestleMania 41 as an in-ring competitor.
Despite lasting until the final two, John Cena was eliminated by Jey Uso, who won his first Royal Rumble match, disappointing millions of Cenation members. But John dusted off his defeat and declared himself for the Men’s chamber match at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 event. Cena will have the last opportunity to main event WrestleMania this year in the same city where he had announced his farewell tour back at the WWE Money in the Bank PLE.
There was overwhelming support for John Cena winning` the Royal Rumble this year. WWE throwing a major curve ball and giving Jey Uso the win was a major shocker to many fans. The current WWE regime could continue the trend of shocking decisions by booking John Cena to lose in the Elimination Chamber. This in turn would mean that Cena will not main event his last WrestleMania.
Jey Uso winning the Royal Rumble was a clear sign that WWE is currently investing in their future and using John Cena’s veteran status to put over stars. The slot of a WrestleMania main event would be a massive push for any current roster WWE star who could benefit more from it than John Cena. While Cena losing again at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 event might disappoint the fans again; things might not be over for him even then.
Cena’s farewell tour has a long way to go, and he can possibly end his career with a 17th World title win and retire as the WWE Champion, which would be an even bigger moment for fans worldwide. As the WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 draws close, it will be interesting to see what happens.
