Two weeks into her Women’s Title run, The Center of the Universe defended her prestigious championship against one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time, Bayley and Tiffany Stratton defeated her clean-as whistle. However, right before her main event match, WWE showed a video package for the returning Charlotte Flair, making fans wonder if she would go after Stratton upon her return.
Will Charlotte Flair’s WWE Return See Her Challenge Tiffany Stratton For the Women’s Title?
In the main event of the January 17 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Tiffany was all set to defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Bayley. However, before the match started, WWE aired a vignette featuring Charlotte Flair, who had not been seen on WWE TV for over a year, confirming her imminent return to the company.
Charlotte Flair suffered a horrific knee injury in December 2023, which put her out of action for well over a year. For several months, rumours of her return to the WWE were running wild. With the vignette that WWE aired on SmackDown, Flair is indeed on her way back to the company. However, the question to address is that whether this return would prove to be a threat to the reign of the current WWE Women’s Champion, Tiffany Stratton.
According to several reports that have been making rounds over social media for months, Charlotte Flair has been pencilled in to face Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 41. Flair has happened to be back in the mix just in time for The Showcase of Immortals, which further confirms that The Queen will be going after The Center of the Universe for her WWE Women’s Title upon her huge return to the company.
While no date has been confirmed for Flair’s return so far, it could happen at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble event, where Flair could possibly enter the Rumble match and win it to get a guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania 41. This could see one of the most highly anticipated bouts in the women’s division take place. Moreover, it would be a dream match for Tiffany Stratton, who has cited Charlotte Flair as her inspiration to become a professional wrestler, making it more intriguing to watch on a big stage.
