A brand new championship is coming to the WWE. After years of outcry and demand for a secondary championship for the talented WWE Women’s Division by the WWE Universe, WWE has finally introduced the WWE Women’s United States Championship for the female roster on Friday Night SmackDown.

The WWE Universe has been clamoring for years for WWE to introduce a mid-card title for the WWE Women’s Division, and WWE has finally responded to that request. Often, women who were not competing for the world title or were not involved in the title picture were left out of the shows since they did not have a storyline going, but the introduction of a secondary title would solve that problem. Now, since the title has been introduced, fans wonder when WWE will crown the inaugural champion.

When Will WWE Crown Their First-Ever WWE Women’s United States Champion in the WWE Women’s Division?

A few weeks ago on an edition of Friday Night SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis had the distinct honor of making the historic announcement of the introduction of WWE Women’s United States Championship, the first single secondary title for the WWE Women’s division in the history of the company.

General Manager Nick Aldis announced that the title won’t be handed over, it will rather be earned. Later on, a tournament was announced to crown the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion. In the last few weeks, WWE Universe witnessed the likes of Bayley and Chelsea Green advancing in the tournament to win the championship to make history in the process.

While announcing the tournament and revealing the brackets, WWE announced that the finals of the tournament will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event PLE on December 14th, 2024. With the likes of Bayley, and Chelsea Green already advancing, and the likes of Naomi and Tiffany Stratton ready to advance in the tournament, it would be interesting to see who will become the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion from the WWE Women’s Division.
