Tiffany Stratton had been teasing for months regarding cashing her Money in the Bank contract against her ally, Nia Jax. On the January 3 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which was a three-hour show, Stratton finally pulled the trigger and made it a historical night for herself.
Nia Jax was scheduled to defend her WWE Women’s title against Naomi. Both women had their allies, Candice LeRae and Bianca Belair, on their sides. However, Tiffany Stratton was nowhere to be found the entire night. The action went back and forth as Naomi looked to clinch her first World title after eight years against the dominant champion, Nia Jax.
Did Tiffany Stratton Betray Nia Jax on SmackDown?
Towards the end of the bout, Candice LeRae tried to interfere on Nia’s behalf, only for Bianca Belair to neutralize the threat. At one moment, when both Nia Jax and Naomi were down, Tiffany Stratton came down, running to the ring with her MITB briefcase. Intially deciding to cash it in, Tiffany Stratton stopped and hit Naomi with the case while LeRae had the referee distracted.
This gave Nia Jax the opening to execute the Annihilator on Naomi to pick up the win and retain her title. But Tiffany entered the ring and, in a surprising turn, hit Nia with the briefcase on the back as she was posing on the top turnbuckle. This was followed by Bianca Belair dropping Jax with the KOD.
Witnessing the perfect opportunity, Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank contract. She entered the ring and executed the Prettiest Moonsault ever on Nia Jax to win her first World Championship on the main roster.

With Tiffy Time being officially on top of the SmackDown roster, it will be interesting to witness the reigns of Tiffany Stratton as the new WWE Women’s Champion.
