Roman Reigns’ Roster Status Updated Following SmackDown Season Premiere

WWE is always full of excitement, and Roman Reigns’ return at SummerSlam 2024 was not welcomed by Solo Sikoa. Sikoa had been thriving as the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief during Reigns’ absence. However, Reigns’ comeback marked a significant change in his brand status.

As the former Undisputed World Champion, Roman Reigns previously had the freedom to appear on any WWE program, which allowed him to have a high-profile WrestleMania feud with Cody Rhodes, who was a RAW Superstar at the time. After losing his title and taking a break from television, Reigns is now officially back on SmackDown full-time.

Initially, Roman Reigns was listed as a free agent on WWE.com, alongside Brock Lesnar and Omos. However, he has since been moved to the SmackDown roster, indicating his full-time return to the blue brand. His free-agent status has been revoked, and he is now fully integrated into SmackDown once again.

Roman Reigns Returns Full-Time to SmackDown After Season Premiere

Before the 2024 WWE Draft, Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso were removed from Solo’s Bloodline, technically making them free agents. This allowed them to be signed by any General Manager or, like Brock Lesnar in previous years, move freely between shows.

Despite their past rivalry at WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will need to put their differences aside as they team up to face The Bloodline at Bad Blood on October 5. This match, highlighted during their return to the USA Network for the September 13 SmackDown, promises to be an exciting showdown.

With Roman Reigns officially back on SmackDown and his upcoming match alongside Cody Rhodes, WWE is set for some thrilling developments. Fans can expect more twists as the Tribal Chief continues to make an impact on the blue brand.
