Cody Rhodes is carving out one of the most remarkable careers in wrestling history. He has become a fixture on WWE television and one of the most profitable superstars of this generation. His record-breaking merchandise sales, sold-out shows, and deep connection with the WWE Universe underscore his immense popularity.

At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes achieved a monumental victory by defeating Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion, thereby “Finished The Story.” This triumph was not without its challenges; Rhodes faced numerous obstacles on his path to the championship. Beyond conquering The Tribal Chief, he also had to overcome his iconic cousin The Rock. However, recently, Rhodes was seen praising the Rock for his work as a ‘heel’.

Why did Cody call ‘The Rock’ as a prime example of going to lengths as a ‘Heel’?

The current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, was a special guest on the popular podcast, ‘The Pivot Podcast‘ where while speaking with the podcast hosts, The American Nightmare called The Final Boss, The Rock as a prime example of going to lengths as a heel. Rhodes said that as a heel one should know how to make people despise you, and The Rock gave people a reason to hate him when he took Cody’s spot away at WrestleMania 40.

“Watching him as a prime example you have to really go to the links to upset people and do something in his case he upset them greatly because he was taking away a spot and he was smart enough to know that’s a good spot to be in most people are uncomfortable in that spot most people don’t want to explore being hated.”

The Prodigal Son has come far ahead since those days on his journey to the top of the mountain. From thriving in multiple gimmicks to now dethroning the most dominating WWE champion of the modern era Roman Reigns, Rhodes has established himself as the epitome of hard work, perseverance, and grit. Moving forward, The American Nightmare is expected to put his title on the line against Solo Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam 2024 after accepting his challenge on Friday Night SmackDown.
